A lot of business owners who are venturing in the Internet scene are now considering email marketing and list building. Although having a squeeze page and an autoresponder should help do the trick in having a list of subscribers, there is still that question as to how good your list will be?
First of all, you cannot have a list of subscribers unless there are people visiting your site. Without these people, there'll be no one you can send emails to.
When it comes to email marketing, it is important to understand that not all types of email marketing strategies can be valuable to the success of your online campaigns. In fact, there are a lot of mistakes made on the email messages sent by most site owners. This would include their promotional resources being tagged as SPAM; not being prepared for the surge of shoppers following their email marketing efforts; not following up on their promotional electronic mails; and not marketing to their target market specifically.
The thing is - when you send email messages that end up being regarded as SPAM, there is a very high chance your subscribers won't read them. Sure enough, you have also experienced your fair share of SPAM on your email accounts. What do you do with them? You just delete them, right?

Another problem to resolve pertains to the fact that most email marketing campaigns do not cater to their target market. If this is the case, how do you think the receivers of your email messages would react when they find out that it's about something they are not interested in? They will delete it, right? It is for this reason why it is very important to find ways in building a list of subscribers that are into your kind of niche. If you will not do this, there will be a lot of unhappy receivers of your email who may complain of receiving SPAM. Since the laws are stricter now when it comes to SPAMMING, it is better to go with ways that can help you reach your target market.
